Ever been to a Chicago Cubs game at Miller Park?
Yeah, me neither.
But that doesn’t mean I’m not aware of the fact that when the Cubs are
in town, Milwaukee might as well have an El, deep dish pizza, and the
Chicago Bears. Because it’s Chicago.
But this isn’t sitting well with the mighty Brewers of Milwaukee. So
their revenge? Maybe sell out a few Cubs games and cram the Park with
Brewer fans? No, no. That wouldn’t be as terrifying as sending
millions of Brewer fans to Wrigley Field to terrorize the Cubs for a
terrifying game of terror. Did I say millions? Because I
meant 100.
Beginning the morning of Feb. 20, the day individual game
tickets go on sale at Wrigley Field, the first 100 fans who bring
their ticket for the Sept. 17 game to the Miller Park box office will
receive a voucher for a free roundtrip ride on the Hiawatha. In
addition, the Brewers will provide specially designed “Miller Park
South” T-shirts.“This year, we’re encouraging Brewers fans to take their support on
the road and help create a ‘Miller Park South’ atmosphere,” said Rick
Schlesinger, Brewers’ executive vice president of business operations.
“This is an intense rivalry, and we want to give our fans an
opportunity to have some fun in showing their
enthusiasm.”
Wow 100 fans. The only way it could be more intimidating is if the
game wasn’t near the end of the September when the Cubs will already
be up 25 games on their closest Central rival.
