The drama surrounding whether or not Carlos Marmol will (obliterate
his arm and) pitch for the Dominican Republic in the upcoming World
Baseball Classic is starting to take on the feel of a Telenovela – Ay!

Well according to the
latest, Marmol is NOT going to pitch in the WBC because he wants
to remain in Cubs camp, focusing on the closer battle with Kevin
Gregg. Even though Marmol is obviously the superior talent, if a
“battle” is what it takes to keep Marmol from pitching in the WBC,
then Lou is already one for one this year.
