The 25th Man Likely to be Koskie or German
By Brett on March 14, 2009
Lou Piniella all but confirmed yesterday what we’ve openly speculated: the 25th man is probably going to be an infielder, and it’s probably going to be Corey Koskie or recently signed Esteban German.
If that’s the case, it means one of Micah Hoffpauir or Joey Gathright doesn’t make team. Given that the Cubs can freely shuffle Hoffpauir down to AAA Iowa and he can’t say boo about it, you’ve got to think he’s going to be the odd man out, no matter how he hits this Spring.
