chad gaudin The Rockies Have Eye on Chad Gaudin, Are Apparently BlindKidding, naturally. Chad Gaudin has been a successful major league pitcher for several years, so there is going to be interest. The first nibbles appear to be from the Colorado Rockies.

The Rockies have their eye on five pitchers this week, including Tampa’s Jason Hammel and Chicago’s Chad Gaudin, as they try to fill out their roster. I believe they will get a deal done, either soon or next week when pitchers are designated for assignment. All Things Rockies Colorado.

Because of the relative urgency in moving someone, the Cubs are not likely to get much value in return for Gaudin. Also note: Jason Marquis has been dirt-eating terrible for the Rockies so far. They aren’t going to be looking to do the Cubs any favors.

This would be the worst possible time of this guy’s career to deal him. And like you said, the Rox aren’t going to do us any favors. Put him ont he DL for whatever reason, hope he gets it back in awhile. If he does, he’s a very solid MLB pitcher that can start or relieve. I don’t want to give a guy up like that for some PTBNL.
