albert Albert Pujols is Magically OKWhen a Chicago Cub sneezes awkwardly, he’s out for a week (seriously, it’s happened - name the player, and win a handshake). But when a St. Louis Cardinal twists his ankle in an ugly incident, he’s just fine-a-rooney.

Albert Pujols insisted he was perfectly fine following Monday night’s game against the Reds, but his manager was at least a little bit worried.

In the first inning on Monday, Pujols rolled his right ankle making an awkward half-slide into second base on an RBI double. Head athletic trainer Barry Weinberg and manager Tony La Russa came out to check on Pujols, and after a delay, the slugger remained in the game.

“You guys didn’t see me come out of the game,” Pujols said to reporters after the contest, “so I guess I’m fine, huh? I’ll be all right. I know I’ll be in the lineup tomorrow. So that’s it.” Obviously, You’re Not a Golfer.

We’ll see if he misses any time, but the point remains: God loves the Cardinals and hates the Cubs. Waaaaaah.
