DJ LeMahieu is a Chicago Cub

Following his excellent performance in the College World Series, DJ LeMahieu was looking a little bit more like a solid second round pick for the Cubs, and a little less like a Jim Hendry LSU special.
And now he’s a Cub.
The Cubs added another LSU Tiger to the team. On Saturday, the Cubs announced they have signed second-round pick DJ LeMahieu, an infielder who helped lead LSU to the 2009 College World Series championship. LeMahieu will join the Mesa Rookie team, and, when ready, move up to Class A Boise. A right-handed hitter, LeMahieu batted .350 with 57 runs, 13 doubles, four triples, five homers and 43 RBIs in his sophomore year for the Tigers. Muskat Ramblings.
LeMahieu is expected to get slot money, or about $460k.
