gods-wrathSo much freaking wrath this week.

On the brighter side, Geovany Soto (strained oblique) is getting closer to being back with the Cubs. He started his rehab assignment yesterday with the Mesa Cubs of the AZL, DH’d, and went 1 for 3. As for the rest of his rehab stint:

Geovany Soto will begin a rehab assignment at Double-A Tennessee on Monday in hopes of returning for the Cubs’ series next weekend in Colorado…. He was to play Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The Cubs have an off day Thursday when Soto could travel to Denver. Muskat Ramblings.

I imagine it’s a two-sided coin for backup Koyie Hill: on the one hand, he’s probably enjoyed all of these starts; but on the other hand, his knees will welcome Soto’s return.
