The sale of the Chicago Cubs to Tom Ricketts is ‘imminent’, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The final papers are expected to be signed within days, and then it’s just a matter of MLB approval (and, of course, the Tribune’s bankruptcy court approval). Both approvals are expected without difficulty.

Yup. There’s not much else new to this story. But how about that picture there, eh? I mean, it’s a kitty, which is in itself wonderful. But he’s got a quarter there, and he’s just not sure what to do with it. Because he’s a kitty, you know? Maybe he wants some kitty food or some catnip. But he’s just a kitty, so he doesn’t understand the complex machinations of modern American commerce. Oh, and he calls it “a money,” instead of a quarter. Isn’t that just adorable? Swoon!
