		<description>thats true, but if the cubs offer harden salary arbitration and he leaves to go to another team the cubs get two first round picks. so unless they get the equivalent to two first round picks in a trade they shouldn&#039;t trade him</description>

		<description>Harden&#039;s a free agent after this season, Steve. So if the Cubs desperately wanted Harden back next year, trading him now would not technically preclude that possibility. If they don&#039;t trade him, they&#039;ll have a slightly better chance of re-signing him, but he&#039;s likely to get more years and more dollars elsewhere. The fact is, he&#039;s unlikely to be back next year anyway.</description>

(i know its always next year). but soriano, bradley and soto are going to be better next year. maybe not all-stars but better. fukudome has started to play better. i say pay harden what he deserves because hes the best pitcher the cubs have. they arent that far away</description>
