Wrigley Field Chicago Cubs Wrigley Field: All Star Host in 2014?Among the tall list of tasks for the Chicago Cubs’ new owner is a reported interest in bringing the All Star Game to Wrigley Field for the 100th anniversary of Wrigley Field in 2014.

The process, which involves a petition to the league, is expected to begin soon.

“It would be off the charts,” Ricketts said when asked what it would mean to the fans. “It would be magical. Let’s hope we have that opportunity.”

The All-Star Game would be part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Wrigley Field. By that time, the Ricketts family is expected to have spent between $200 million and $300 million in renovations on Wrigley. ESPN Chicago.
