Obsessive Bradley Trade Watch: The Rays Are the Favorite
According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Tampa Bay Rays are now the heavy favorite to swing a deal for Chicago Cubs outfielder Milton Bradley.
You’ll recall, the en vogue rumor involving the Rays is a Bradley-Pat Burrell swap. The plan, thereafter, is for the Cubs to pawn Burrell off on someone else. Otherwise, Kosuke Fukudome will have to remain in center field, and the Cubs will have to suffer through abysmal corner outfield defense.

Do they have to start Burrell everyday if they trade for him? Couldn’t they use him as the world’s most expensive Micah Hoffpauir?
Very fair point. But then who is the starter? There are only so many dollars to go around.
