Today is the deadline for teams to tender contracts to their
arbitration eligible players, and the Chicago Cubs intend to do so
with all of their guys – the lone exception being injured/crappy
reliever Neal Cotts, who may yet return on a minor league deal.

This means that Mike Fontenot will get a contract, though it would not
preclude the Cubs spinning him off later in the offseason, depending
on how things play out.
