Mike Cameron is in “Serious” Talks with Boston Red Sox
So much for the inability to move Milton Bradley not being a hurdle to the Chicago Cubs having a successful off-season. The most realistic and acceptable free agent center field option could be going out the window very soon according to Ken Rosenthal. The Boston Red Sox are in “serious talks” with Mike Cameron to play center or left field for them next year.
Rosenthal mentions that the Red Sox may be giving Cameron a two-year deal, which could be a hold-up for the Cubs, regardless of what happens with Bradley.
Jim Hendry will have no problem giving certain flop Marlon Byrd at least a two-year deal, however.
