The inept Cubs’ offense took center stage again, as the pitching was dominant and the offense failed to achieve any timely hitting whatsoever. It was frustrating and pathetic and was the reason the Cubs lost.

But I’d like to note something completely different. Since announcing that Carlos Zambrano would transition into the long relief role so that he could be stretch out to start once again, he has appeared three times in the 8th inning in tight games. Last night, he threw a total of 13 pitches.

Another loss where we out hit the other team. Also, really don’t get why Soriano wasn’t DH and Colvin LF.

      Both very good points.

The Soriano question I was asking myself.
