Geez, I mean, you’d think one run scored between the first two games of the series would have been enough to win a game or two or five. Clearly, the Mariners are just an offensive juggernaut, incapable of relenting or human emotion.

Why it's a lot tougher to sell guys for value now than you might think, even if they offer their new team more starts in 2013.

It turns out the Cubs might not have done it if they'd known the extent of Shawn Camp's injury.

Each of The Big Three were in action yesterday, finally, and each had a notable performance. Also: looking ahead to the second round of the Draft.

Doesn't matter if you hold them to one. Can't win if you don't score.

Did anyone see Lou on the bench after it got outta hand he looked like he wad ready to head to dinner looked like to me he’s resigned himself and the cubs to the fate tht awaits them. Another brutal day at the office
Agreed. Idiocy is the act of trying the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. In the top of the first with the first two batters reaching I was hoping he’d put on a double steal. Sure, probably one of the two runners would be thrown out, but not both. With Lee at the plate I would much rather see a player either on second or third with no chance of a double play than the “hopes of a big inning”. Winners attack to make things happen. Losers play the lottery over and over again and wonder why they’re broke.
