File this one under “Rumors That Are Obviously True, But Almost Certainly Don’t Matter.”

ESPN’s Buster Olney is saying he’s heard that the Chicago Cubs are informing teams they’re ready to trade pitcher Carlos Zambrano. Which, like, duh.

It’s highly, highly unlikely that Zambrano is moved during the 2010 season. Instead, the Cubs will hope he can rehabilitate his value over the last couple of months of the season, and then move him in the offseason.

Do any of you so-called “sports-writers” have an intelligent opinion about Big Z? Another ignorant, uneducated post about Zambrano! Do the Cubs pay you for helping to throw Big Z under the bus?

Totally disagree with the above comment. How is it throwing him under the bus by just stating the obvious.
