From a scan of the Internets, it appears that the hangup in the Ted Lilly to the Dodgers deal isn’t just money – it’s that the Dodgers want the Cubs to pay all of Lilly’s salary in order to net a good prospect (word is that the prospect is catcher Josh Thole). Otherwise, the two sides are in agreement on players, and the Cubs eating a lot of Lilly’s salary (but not all).
