I think Quade would be a good full-time skipper. But I also think Bob Brenly or Maddux is the best choice for the Cubs, and they’re out.
We shall see what happens. Ryno, Quade, Girardi and anyone else is going to sit in the hottest seat in the the game. No matter who gets it, they’ll have to deal with the pressure. Maybe that makes Girardi the target? Give him whatever he wants. I said if Brenly or Mad Dog wasn’t going to get it, Girardi should. He’s a smart dude. And if anyone thinks a new manager can get more out of the Cubbies, I’d like to have him try.

If you look for a Manager who understands the Cubs’ bad luck history and the pressure to win, then you would have to find somebody who has played in the so called “Friendly Confines” and knows about the obstacles better than anyone else, then I would think that Ryne Sandberg should the guy to manage the Chicago Cubs in 2011 and beyond.

I think Ryne Sandberg should manage the cubs next year.
He has proven he can manage he has done a good job in 4 years in the minors.
He won the pcl manager of the year which is great.
He understands Cubs history he played for them for 15 years and was on 2 first place teams 1984 and 1989.
He was also a mvp on the 1984 which had the 2nd best record in the majors.
He knows what it would take to win.
He deserves the chance in 2011.
He has the baseball intelligence to succeed.
    I believe he will.
As a cubs fan i back him 110%.
    Let’s go cubs
