Adam Dunn is only vaguely on the Chicago Cubs’ radar this offseason, given their self-imposed cash flow problem, but to the extent you were wondering, he might be on the verge of signing with the Detroit Tigers.

Joel Sherman tweeted earlier today that a deal might be close, but both Jon Heyman and Jerry Crasnick have said a deal isn’t exactly imminent. Either way, the two sides are clearly talking, and an AL club has always seemed like the most logical destination for the defensively-challenged masher.
