Looking to join a new fantasy baseball league with other Cubs fans? Looking to test your mettle against the best? Looking to kick my ass in something?
BN reader Marc approached me about setting up a fantasy baseball league for us this year, and as a long-time fantasy football player – but fantasy baseball virgin – I figured what better way to start than in a league of BN’ers? Marc was generous enough to take care of the details and set up the league. There will be no money involved, but in my role as an esteemed blogger, I’ve picked up some cool Cubs swag over the years (books, an Unholy Cows shirt, an opportunity to post your victory dance on BN) that I can offer up as prizes.
Information is as follows, and space is limited – so sign up quickly if you want a spot. The draft is currently/tentatively scheduled for March 5 at 4pm CST, but that can be changed as necessary. If you have questions, Marc’s the guy to contact: marc DOT hampton AT yahoo.com.
UPDATE: the league is filling up much more quickly than I’d anticipated (we’re already at 12). There are only 8 spots left (as of 2pm CST on February 9), so get in now if you’re interested.
UPDATE II: Wow, so the 20-team league just filled up in under 2 hours. I had no idea it would fill up that quickly (you are all clearly very aggressive, which portends doom for me in this league). If there are more of you that would like to participate but were closed out, post in the comments – if there is enough interest (and someone to administer it), maybe we can do additional league(s).

Sure, I’d join your B league. If I’m commish, though, I’m going to change your minimum innings pitched to something more sinister though (it makes Carlos Silva relevant, so you’ll want a different commish

If you need someone to commish, I’ll volunteer. I have run my own league the last couple of years, but wouldn’t mind a second league full of cubs fans, or a certain Cardsfan if he has the guts.
