God’s Wrath Watch: Aramis Ramirez Has Got a Fever

Chicago Cubs News

And the prescription is more cowbell.

But seriously, Chicago Cubs’ third baseman Aramis Ramirez hasn’t played since Friday and has been dealing with a 102-degree fever. He relaxed this weekend, and looks like he’s ready to play again, perhaps as early as today.

After taking a few days off, Ramirez showed up at the park yesterday to take batting practice, and to tell manager Mike Quade that he wants to play today.

I know what you’re thinking: this is God’s Wrath? Well, not really. But this is all there is this Spring – a fever here, a sore shoulder there – so I’m going to report it.

God has been benevolent. Do not poke him.
