God’s Wrath Watch: Reed Johnson Injured While Rehabbing Injury

Now the Lord is just showing off. And not in the good way.

Reed Johnson, rehabbing his bad back in Iowa this weekend, was hit in the head by a pitch last night, and was taken to a Des Moines hospital overnight. Johnson was face down in the batter’s box for some time before walking off the field under his own power.

“Everything so far looks good,” Iowa manager Bill Dancy said. “He got a fastball up and in, and the helmet protected him. He was cut a little bit, but he was talking when he got up. We’ll know more tomorrow.”

Johnson had been set to rejoin the Cubs tomorrow, but obviously that is now in doubt.

If you sent a script like this to Hollywood, they’d send it back saying it was not believable and to tone it down.

The script is perfectly believable – it’s just way too repetitive.
