Despite the grousing about a crummy product on the field, Cubs fans are still coming to Wrigley much more than other fans.

Actually, even the David Wright one is kind of a bummer. Possible trades, Aramis Ramirez’s face, Matt Garza’s arm, Ryne Sandberg’s future, and Carlos Zambrano breaks Tony Campana.
I’m not quite ready to call it a season, but I’m certainly not ready to say the only problem with this team is the set of injuries that’s befallen its players.
The first timetable we’ve heard on Marlon Byrd’s recovery, and it’s a good one.
The Cubs finish their homestand – against the Mets, Pirates and Astros, mind you – at 3-6. That, my friends, ain’t good.
As if losing Byrd as the team’s center fielder didn’t hurt enough, now the Cubs are losing out on opportunities to make moves to improve the organization.
