Carlos Zambrano to Make a Rehab Start in Peoria Tomorrow

Carlos Zambrano’s back must have responded well to his throwing session yesterday, as the Chicago Cubs have already scheduled a rehab outing for him tomorrow with the team’s A-ball affiliate in Peoria.

A little more info for those of you in the Peoria area who might want to get a look at Z:

Zambrano is expected to start for the Chiefs though a pitch count was not given, and the game will be followed by a Spectacular Fireworks Show. Tickets are available immediately at www.peoriachiefs.com or by calling 1-866-MYTICKET. The O’Brien Field Box Office will open at 10:00 a.m. on Friday for those wishing to purchase tickets in person. Due to the Major League rehab, the Never-A-Wasted ticket policy is suspended for Friday’s game.

Assuming the start goes well, Zambrano should be ready to come off the disabled list and start just after the All-Star break next week.

  1. die hard

gut telling me that he will go on 60 day after rehab try…another casualty of pitching coach who was not experienced enough to take on a major league pitching staff…like asking a stable boy to train a horse to compete in triple crown…long shot
