Ryan Dempster got slapped around from the word go. If it weren’t for LaTroy Hawkins, the Cubs wouldn’t have been anywhere close in this one. What can I say? The Brewers are incredibly tough at home this year. Oh, and the Cubs are kind of bad.

Alfonso Soriano was all the offense tonight, which is impressive, but not nearly as impressive as this…

the only thing iam looking forward to this year is the september callups.

  • ramin

brett any chance we see vitters as a september callup, and what top prospects you think are getting a callup soon

    • Hogie

I would like to see that, but it would have to be tempered with patience. He has struggled to begin with at every level so far, so I wouldn’t expect too much. Still, it would be nice to see what he might do.

  • MichiganGoat

So we call out Barney, Ramirez, and now Soriano and they wake up, next up Soto 0-19 with 10K, you make Hill look good

  • rylan

does aramis still have his hit streak going?

  • Ol’CharlieBrown

What on earth? It looks like Soriano has earned himself a new moniker… Crazy Legs!

  • TWC

Hahahaha. I still hate you LaTroy Hawkins.

  • IACub

Alfonso’s been saving himself for about 4 years now…it’s good to see he could open up his offense a little to help the club out.

  • al

um that would be lachoy hawkins…and the catcher ,pitcher, and brewers must of fell asleep when sori stole those bases…..

So what’s the deal on watching Cubs games on the computer?
Is it MLB.com or nothing basically or do y’all have better suggestions?
I want to watch some of these kids play.
Or is it that just wishful thinking with Quade filling out the lineup card?

    • http://www.frenchrocks.net Ian Afterbirth

I’m asking because I finally have high speed internet after 5 years of satellite.

    • MichiganGoat

I think it’s MLB or bust there are some supposedly but I’ve never seen them work, typically MLB offers a September package that is relatively cheap

    • MichiganGoat

Here the MLB year end offer link btwn $30-$20 for rest of year http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/subscriptions/index.jsp?mlbkw=P2Z3W831-20Q7

    • pfk

MLB.com is it. But well worth it as you get all the games, highlights, box scores, etc.

    • http://www.bleachernation.com Brett

Yeah, what those guys said. There are, I’m sure, seedier methods, but I wouldn’t recommend any of them.

    • http://www.frenchrocks.net Ian Afterbirth

      Thanks fellers!
Do I get a refund if Quade doesn’t play the kids?

    • Kyle

I had MLB.tv until recently. I’ve used it since 2003. It was much improved this year. Streaming in HD quality on my Playstation was awesome. From time to time it was glitchy, if only for a few innings here and there. But that probably had more to do with my service provider. If you can handle paying $25 a month to watch Casey Coleman and Rodrigo Lopez pitch, and the occasional blackout restriction, then I would definitely recommend it.

I’ll be subscribing again next April for sure.

say what, you mean to tell me we actually made it through a game without committing an error, holy shit!
