The Cubs keep playing spoiler, though they’ve done so discriminately – beating up on some contenders, and allowing others to steamroll them. Matt Garza scattered nine hits over 6.2 innings (“scattered,” of course, being the standard euphemism for “dude gave up a lot of hits, and was probably lucky not to have given up a ton more runs”) and picked up the win.

Thank the Lord. I was starting to think this season might be lost!!! Lol

what the hell is sorryano’s motivation now, he is actually playing like he cares even though we know he doesn’t.

Is this your last ditch effort to try and get someone to trade for Soriano on deadline day? If it is, you have done more work than the front office at the deadline, again.

Garza looked good again, even if the Giants offense kind of stinks.

      a Giant fan’s sign lastnite:

Bring back Torture, this isnt fun anymore!

      • Keith

Paul – i saw that fan and sign last night – where you in the centerfield bleachers or just watching on tv?

        • CubFan Paul

watching tv, the sign made me LOL, but then i got sad because i realized how bad the Giants offense is and was ..especially considering randy wells pitched a complete gamer on them, garza made them his bitch and rodrigo Lopez will probably strikeout 10 in 7innings today

            about that Lopez comment …..
