Enhanced Box Score: Cubs 2, Padres 9 – September 28, 2011

Enhanced Box Scores

The 2011 Cubs ended their season as they lived it: embarrassingly.

Ryan Dempster started strong before getting slapped around by a weak Padre lineup. On the offensive side, no one had a particularly stirring day. As a writer, you always feel like you want to end the year with some grand, clever statement – but sometimes the team just loses, and it’s ugly. There’s not much more to it than that.
