The Cubs are headed to Las Vegas – well, half the Cubs – to take on the Texas Rangers. St. Patty’s Day, March Madness, Las Vegas. Nice combo for those guys. Keep it together, boys.
The other half of the Cubs will be heading out to take on the Oakland Athletics. Both games are at 3:05 CT, and the former game will be televised (eventually – tape delay) on MLBN, and will be available on MLB.TV. The latter game will be on WGN Radio.

I’m in Vegas to see the games this weekend. Bummed that most of the players of interest stayed behind to play the A’s…
Samardjiza, Lake, Castillo, Lahair, Cardenas. All seem to be of interest, not to mention Dewitt vying for a spot and Soriano trying to turn it around.
True. Didn’t mean there is no one of interest. Just would have enjoyed Rizzo, Jackson, Szczur; and i’d like to check out Vitters.
These are two excellent spring training lineups.
Red Sox released Carlos Silva and on St. Patrick’s Day What a Bummer Oh Well Go Cubs 2x today
I do like the way Joe Mather is playing…have I missed any over/under conversations about his chances of making the team?
Most think he will make the team now. I’d say 70% at this point.
NICE grab by Mather in the 8th! He has my vote, which is worth nothing.
Get to watch the Rangers broadcast here in Oklahoma. Know who’s pitching for Texas?
Cespedes in center for the A’s
Samardzija looking really good so far in his game on mlb.tv. He hasn’t allowed a runner through 3 innings. Making a strong case…
Looks like that was Frank Batista, closer for Daytona in 2011, who struck out the side against Texas in the 6th. If anybody happened to see his outing, how did his stuff look?
For the second lineup replace Dejesus with jorge soler, and instead of baker at 2nd replace him with lake and replace byrd with sappelt/ campana awesome potential future lineup!!!!!!!
Well, Miller didn’t look great that inning… Offering were between 70-85 mph. Rangers were not fooled…
Back to back taters in the bottom half…nice.
(rizzo with a 3-0 count)
Keith: “do you give him the go-ahead here?”
Len: “yeah, you have to give the green light on st pattys day.”
Nice, Len. Nice!
Ha, that’s awesome!
The cat’s pajamas!
Go Len!

Good Lord, put a fork in Casey freaking Weathers, he’s got NOTHING.
Give him some time in the minors, all we can determine is that he needs some more work (or he just had an extremely off day). Who knows maybe he get better with time.
