Pre-Gamin’: Cubs v. Brewers (7:10 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, etc.

Ok, Cubs. That thing you did last night? Repeat it.

They’ve taken the first step by repeating the lineup from last night. Now Paul Maholm just needs to do what Ryan Dempster did.

Game Info

Chicago Cubs (19-36) at Milwaukee Brewers (24-31), 7:10pm CT on CSN.

Going to the game tonight sitting ground level 20 rows up form third. Bring my BN sweatshirt incase it gets chilly. Go Cubs!!

      Sweatshirt, huh?  Biiiiiig spender.

I think Maholm can outpitch Greinke tonight(If he has his curve ball going) He sports a 4.66 at “hitter friendly” Miller Park though. Ian Stewart at 3rd again just makes me “stew.”

For Maholm to be effective he needs to be able to spot his pitches from the thigh to the knees. If he starts getting his pitches up in the zone I am afraid we will be seeing a lot of Billy Brewer sliding down his slide.

dejesus batting 3rd… hate it! i like sori at 4 with lahair behind him… as i also like barney in the bottom half of the line up… but man oh man this line up… seems like one more solid bat could structure things much better…rizzo anyone? im ready cant wait for the time to come

    1. rcleven

This Cub team needs mor than just one more bat.

      1. Joe

Yes. Rizzo would have an “impact” but not enough to turn things around. i think it will take Rizzo and two more decent bats. Not great bats mind you(altough that would be swell) but decent bats.

The Cubs won’t bring Rizzo up becuase if he does well, which he will, they won’t be able to send him back down again without a huge uproar from the fans. :)

Oh yeah, and Rizzo might not be the savior we all want him to be. Just saying…let’s all take a collective breath before we get ahead of ourselves.

Seems like every other day the Cubs are against A Cy Young type pitcher.
