It’s another slap fight for the Cubs, but at least it’s a beautiful new ballpark. The batting order gets a bit zany, what with the DH involved. All Cubs will be getting my full support, but I might give an extra cheer for Alfonso Soriano.

And I so far like the Ascensio addition.
Ian needs this season to get back into the groove of MLB baseball. He is young let him play this year and then next year should be the make or break year for him. He has had wrist problems and you cant go from a injury that keeps him out almost all season to the guy people think you can be without playing. Its all about reps, getting you at bats and fielding grounders. Get off this kids back and lets see how good he will do.
Id like to see him play 2nd when they give Barney a day off
Fair point, I like him a lot, just hate his hitting so far… It would be fair to consider the whole wrist injury factor.
Soriano has seemed to play better ever since he said he wouldnt mind being traded… Crazy…
Isn’t that also about the same time he switched to a lighter bat?
Yours is probably more accurate, it just seemed as if he became way more better once he became lenient to being traded.
Byrd to be DFA’d by Boston Saturday
Ok, before you all get upset, who really thought we needed a closer anyway??
Heh, yeah. At least our bullpen has nowhere to go but up…
