The Cubs can still nail down a series win tonight by taking down the Red Sox, who are offering up Franklin Morales in place of the injured Josh Beckett. Morales is making his first start in three years, so he’s certain to struggle against the Cubs, right?

The game is a national one on ESPN, so at least you’ll be able to cap off your Father’s Day with baseball.

Game Info

Boston Red Sox (32-33) at Chicago Cubs (22-43), 7:00pm CT on ESPN.

The Cubs have 5 hits tonight, 3 of them from Castro. I wonder when Sveum will realize that this lineup just doesn’t work?

“The game is a national one on ESPN, so at least you’ll be able to cap off your Father’s Day with baseball.”

You have a pretty loose term regarding the definition of baseball, Brett.

    This team is f$cking horrible.

I’m as devote as they come. No longer. My small town High School plays better ball then this.

And as Harry once said, “you could put Joliet Catholic in Cubs uniforms and the stands would be filled.” You all are suckers. Rickett’s wallet’s thank you.

    Brett Taylor, excellent job.

Well done. Best of wishes to all Cub fans, i’m jumping off the boat. Better ways to spend my summers.

You’ll be back. They always come back… ;-)

The Iowa Cubs are stormin’ back!

We spent Father’s Day at Sec Taylor today. Rizzo’s shot sounded like an explosion at a lumber yard. Gonna be a sad day…

Why no LaHair PH in the 9th?

  • Section 409 Row 2

I’m convinced that they are silently trying to make sure they have the worst record in baseball to ensure the #1 pick next year. Why would LaHair not be pinch hitting in that spot for either Johnson or Barney? I love the Cubs and would never jump ship but I won’t be watching them on tv much more this season. It’s really just not worth getting upset over a team who’s leadership wants them to lose 100 games this year. I think it’s the right play too, I just think its a bit disrespectful to baseball. It can only get worse when Dempster and Garza get traded and Maholm is our #2 starter, so brutal.
