Enhanced Box Score: Cubs 5, Pirates 1 – July 24, 2012

Well, the Cubs have certainly helped the Cardinals over the last five games.

Starlin Castro and Alfonso Soriano made up a healthy chunk of the offense again tonight, this time doing it with homers.

Without eovaldi, theres no way LA gets Garza

Lee, Webster, and Gould would be a good package for Garza.

I would be wheelin an dealin if I was the g.m. this team needs an overhaul….

    1-garza-rhp/vitters-if to tx. for martin perez-lhp/mike olt-3b/cody buckel-rhp/justin grimm-rhp
    2-paul malholm-lhp to atl. for sean gilmartin-lhp/zeke sprull-rhp
    3-g.soto-c to yankees for gary sanchez-c/brett marshall-rhp
    4-b. lahair-1b/of to balt. for mike belifore-lhp
    5-dempster-rhp to l.a. for allen webster-rhp/ethan martin-rhp

deals make sense in all cases,we lack pitching in the system, before you judge look at all the minor league affiliates and you’ll see neither side is gettin burned in any deal…….olt will rot behind beltran in tx. where as vitters is more like a young mike young good hitter w/o a position.
