Ok. Divorcing mind from Dempster madness for a minute. Today, Paul Maholm returns to the team that reared him. taking on the Pirates. He’s been crazy hot of late, and I would imagine a number of scouting eyes will be on him tonight.

Here’s to Maholm pitching well and helping us to change the direction of the trade talks as of late…
Somehow the game seems overshadowed by all the Demp-drama.
Here’s to Maholm pitching well and then getting traded and getting good prospects back. No 10-5 here.
no more braves,
no more dodgers,
no more empty
Dempster offers!
Lets enjoy the game, Go Cubs (with apologies to Alice Cooper)
the way this week is going I fully expect Paul’s arm to fall off tonight.
So Muskat says Garza isn’t pitching at all this weekend now either…
With the Cubs having an option on Maholm Id kinda like to see him stay unless they get blown away for a trade
Nice play by the FO to get that option. Maholm tearing it up tonight.
Nice…double by the Dejesus. Cubs have been playing some quality baseball of late. Hopefully, it’s a sign of better things to come.
Paul Maholm and cash for Randall Delgado
unlikely, but that would be sweet.
Mike Quade for Josh Hamilton and circa-1968 Bob Gibson.
I really hope that with the Cubs having that option that they don’t look to trade him basically for players to add depth in the minors that they get a couple decent prospects out of any deal for him
Cubs Win!
