I almost bought tickets to this game. 400 section seats could have had for as little as .75 per ticket on stub hub. Crazy stuff.

  • taters

Tempting. I would have almost bought a ticket as well, at .75.

    • cas-castro

The tax and surcharge would have been much more but it still would have been less than $10 each for sure. I had other plans with the family but it would have been nice to go.

    BOOO!!! WCIU!!!

Vitters needs to make some serious adjustments, watching him step to the plate with the hack at them all approach makes me cringe when he is in the box. Josh seems a bit over-matched or intimidated by big league pitching at the moment. At this point, I would rather see Travis Wood hitting than Josh Vitters.

    • MrCub73

The guys looks totally lost at the plate when make this comment and he steps up in his next AB to hit his first MLB HR. Go figure!

Vitters needs to bat 8th, this will take some pressure off of him. Barney 2nd. every time Vitters comes up with men in scoring position, he does not come thru.He looks horrible I know he is young ad maybe this stint t will help hm next year.

Didnt you hear? there is no such thing as clutch.

      • Drew7

Yeah, and you can definitely tell if someone is clutch after 34 AB’s, too.

  • fortyonenorth

Nice dinger for Vitters, but boy does he look rough at third.

And with the Brewers’ offensive explosion, the EBS is going to be delayed until morning…

  • Drew7

Looks like the Cubs dodged a bullet by not drafting Giolito. Sounds like TJS to me. Yikes

    • chirogerg

Not a big deal. Still has the highest ceiling of any player drafted this year.

      • Drew7

        True. More of a PR-bullet I guess!

        • EvenBetterNewsV2.0

I don’t think anyone expected anything different from him. I personally would have preferred him over Almora with knowing he needed TJ. His ceiling was worth the risk in a weak draft. TJ isn’t what it used to be, and when he signed he could have played a short season next year. In drafts past that is equal to what he would have done if he would have signed at the end of the year.
