The Cubs are rocking a four-game winning streak, which is of relative value, depending on whom you ask. Justin Germano has been scuffling of late, but I have a feeling like he’ll feast against bad lineups. He certainly faces a young, ineffective lineup tonight, so we’ll see.
Speaking of ineffective lineups, the Cubs’ features a robust six lefties … all batting together in two clumps of three. Shrug. I’m not actually complaining, because I understand the desire to leave guys in their usual spots, but it’s a little silly. Bryan LaHair and Adrian Cardenas get starts tonight.

Watching Cubs/Astros herky-jerky TV coverage and wishing we were listening to Bob Brenley. Astro commentary mentioned WGN there. Makes one more appreciative of WGN coverage.

Read the article today from Ivy Report. Just one opinion from a Cub site. No facts, No sources, just opinion. Total waste of time. Article was based on Sevum giving Castro a hard time.
I figured Theo would get tired of how he has got no progress out of this team. Hitting, Pitching, lack of player deveopment and comments in the media about Castro. It may even be mugual. Sveum may have lost his desire go manage a team that is rebuilding. Or he has realized he isn’t a player developer and teacher of young players. His previous jobs were coaching mosyly veterans
I dont think theres any way sveum gets fired. Theo obviously knew the situation he was going to be putting him in. What is he supposed to do? Its not like he has much to work with
Wow what a hard luck loss for Germano. He pitched well.
Some root for the Cubs to win. Some root for the higher draft pick. I’m to where I don’t care whether they win or lose. Zen. Two at-bats for Cardenas. He is the missed opportunity of 2012; I expect he’ll be included in a trade and start for a division winner in the near term. How can a team with such an anemic offense not give such a promising hitter a shot?
