Alfonso Soriano saved the Cubs the embarrassment of a shutout with a two-run homer in the ninth, so instead the Cubs merely got the embarrassment of an 8-2 whooping.
Justin Germano’s slide continued, and the lifelessness of the Cubs’ bats continued.
Perhaps the most galling moment in the game?

If I remember right, Sori didn’t hut a homerun til more then a month into the season or something. If he never had that slump, he could be closer, if not over 40 HR’s.
Yup. He’s just not a cold weather guy.
