You may have received the survey yesterday, as I did. If you care about the in-game experience at Wrigley, you'll probably want to take the time to respond.

Matt Harvey did Matt Harvey things, and the Cubs did "Cubes" things.

David Price has a triceps issue, which means the Cubs can trade for him for even cheaper, right?! Not exactly.

Garza believes he's ready to go, but he knows the Cubs will ultimately make the decision. Also, more on the DePaul arena project and the relation to the Cubs.

Is that a haiku?
If you add ……. It kind of has a 67 feel
I don’t often do, but I literally LOL’d re: this post
looks like the fuzzy math our politicians use in the debates LOL
It’s a cryptogram. Nogga Nogga Noggunna work her no more
I hope you’re not THAT pessimistic Brett. There are enough theo haters running around as is. I always figure these same guys would complain whether it was theo or Friedman or whoever…
my guess is 2013 we will be above 500 (barely), 2014 we will win the division.
Somebody going to donate a starting pitching staff to us in 2014?
We have alot of payroll room.
Note to self: Apply tonight for patent on “Chicago Cubs Refrigerator Magnet Poetry Kit.”
That’s funny, I thought the same thing (not the patent part, but the magnet kit)
I don’t think I’ve seen the original message this was done from.
If you Google that headline, it’s a Cubs.com piece. Just thoughts from Theo – been posted here before from various sources (basically the same quotes).
my guess is 2013 we will be above 500 (barely), 2014 we will win the division….
that would be great but my guess earliest of division crown the earliest 2015 however the 2nd wild card 2014
but our goal is not jus plays we wanna win the whole damn thing
“my guess is 2013 we will be above 500 (barely)”
- Good Luck with that prediction -.-
I think 75-80 wins in 2013 would be a great confidence booster for the younger players on the team. The Cubs will be relevant again soon enough.
I agree it would be. I doubt it happens, but it would be a boost.
I hate the fact that every goal that theo/jed have are so tight vested. I want to know that we are moving forward. Not just by what we try to piece together on BN, but by knowing what the hell they are planning. It would make this lost season a much easier pill to swallow if we knew the major goals and if we had met/not met them.
I understand, but do we ever really know the goals, planning of any FO, in any sport? We hear stuff as fans, but do we ever get the real deal?
Also, I like your new phrase: “tight lipped” + “close to the vest” = “tight vested” I dig.
I’m actually “tight panted”
Ever the optimistic fans. I’m the same way. Every year I tell people we’re gonna win the world series. However, if I’m being honest, .500 is incredibly optimistic for next year. I think next year will be just as painful as this year. I don’t think the Cubs sniff .500 again until at least 2014.
Apparently Brenly is leaving the Cubs broadcasting booth. Sad news.
And Ace could have been the one to break the news…
That wasn’t it, but it could all be kind of related.
The intrigue deepens…
I still prefer his Shatner-esque 49 minute Rapper’s Delight.
Clever to the point of mockery and derision. I think Sully types will like this.
