Pre-Gamin’: Rockies v. Cubs (3:05 CT) – Lineup, Broadcast Info, etc.

hohokam-park-signHooray, Starlin Castro returns to the lineup today! He’s been out for almost two week with a mild hamstring issue, though most of that time was just rest.

I don’t expect much out of Castro today other than him running the bases pain-free. Let’s just hope he looks completely healthy, and we’ll take the performance – however good or bad – from there. We’ve still got two weeks of Spring Training for him to round into game shape

Edwin Jackson starts against the Rockies, and he’ll get in some at bats, too.

The game is available (audio) via Cubs.com/MLB.com.

The lineup:

1. Luis Valbuena, 3B

2. Darwin Barney, 2B

3. Starlin Castro, SS

4. Alfonso Soriano, LF

5. Scott Hairston, CF

6. Dioner Navarro, C

7. Jorge Soler, RF

8. Edwin Maysonet, 1B

9. Edwin Jackson, P

How can Jorge Soler be playing a game today when he’s been elected the new Pope?!?!?!?!?

Oops, that’s some guy named Jorge Mario Something. Sorry. Carry on.

Dude, he’s the Pope, he can do three things at once… It’s a Catholic thing…

Did anyone see the Baez play? Just heard on MLB radio that he faked a runner into thinking the play was ground ball by going to second like it was a double play.

Season tickets were delivered today…they have really improved the past few years. Each book is personalized with my name and account number. Also got a set of the Topps cards they are giving away this year (plus gum), a W flag replica with my name on it, and a STH card that gets me some discounts at the stadium. Sadly, no pair of Cubs Zubaz…

Although Cubs lost to Rockies 2-0.
    Best game of preseason.

If Valbuena hits leadoff at any time in the regular season I’m going to cry
