Pre-Gamin’: Giants v. Cubs (1:20 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, etc.

wrigley field from right bleachersAssuming the weather holds out …

Ryan Vogelsong was a feel good story for Giants fans in recent years, having come out of obscurity in his 30s to be something of a quality starter. Here’s hoping that story has a down chapter today.

Scott Feldman gets the go for the Cubs after last night’s cancellation. He could use a good start. Last time out against the Braves, I really liked the look of his stuff, but he simply couldn’t command it.

Also, Brent Lillibridge: get a hit today. Do it for yourself.

Wow, that Castro error flipped this game on its head. Starlin has got to clean these errors up if he wants to stay at short. If not Baez will be scooting him over a position in the not to distant future… On the other hand, doesn’t Baez have as many errors as hits to start the year?

Let’s see where he’s at by the end of the season. We are still looking at incredibly small samples in regards to this season. But yes, the early returns indicate he probably still has some work to do defensively.

Not sure about Baez/errors & hits. I say, move Castro to 3rd base, put Logan Watkins at SS or 2nd and Barney at whatever position Watkins doesn’t play (2nd or SS). Watkins can be our lead-off hitter. We might actually score more runs this way, and have a more solid lineup.

Baez has more errors than Castro in fact Baez has more errors than hits right now.

Rizzo sucks. Way to watch three strikes fly by and not swing at one of them, with the game on the line.

Is anyone else SICK of Dave Kaplan? He has just become so snarky and pessimistic! I am sick of him. We all feel awful about the loss I don’t need this guy being such a downer. Maybe it is just me?
