Historically, when the Cubs have had a two-game series, I do a (theoretically humorously) abbreviated version of the Series Preview. It’s a long trip out West for the Cubs to play just two games against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, California, USA, Earth, Milky Way, but at least they got an off-day on either side of it.
We’re Going Streaking
The Cubs have lost two in a row after winning five in a row. It sucks.
But it could be far worse. The Angels have lost four in a row. ALL TO THE ASTROS.

Scott Feldman, Matt Garza. Jered Weaver, Jason Vargas.
The Angels’ lineup is a touch better than the Cubs’, especially with the DH.
Um. Scott Hairston? Ryan Sweeney? Definitely Jason Vargas, who went 0-3 with a 4.85 ERA in April, but 5-0 with a 2.30 ERA in May.
Most Cubs. But at least Albert Pujols is hitting .243/.315/.408 this year, and Josh Hamilton is even worse at .216/.280/.380.
It’s not really happening in a Short Series Preview (though you are welcomed to start one up over at the Message Board), so, instead, here’s Joseph Gordon-Levitt flapping his wings because remember that movie:
