wrigley field from right bleachersAhhhh, baseball during the Draft! Head going to explode!

And it’s a great pitching matchup today, with Francisco Liriano facing Travis Wood, each a lefty who is really tearing it up this year.

The new against-lefty lineup is in place, with Darwin Barney and Cody Ransom up at the top.

Don’t drop the soap, Pittsburgh; we’re coming from behind

    • Jim

      Not okay.

      • Blank

        Live a little

  • Kyle

Pitching matchups are rough, but we could really send the Pirates into a tailspin with a good series.

  • Drew7

Wow…only Liriano could walk Castillo and Castro back-to-back.

  • Schrodinger’s Cat

Back-to-back walks for Castillo and Castro? Holy hell.

    • SirCub

The odds of that occurrence is 0.001% !

      • SirCub

By which, of course I mean 0.12%. Math is hard!

      • Timothy Scarbrough

The odds of Liriano walking two guys in a row has to be much higher though.

        • SirCub

Probably, considering that his career walk rate is above average. But so far this year, it’s been below average. So, eh, I’d say it’s a wash.

  • bbmoney

Cubbies taking some walks today……not neccessarily tough to do against Liriano though I suppose.

  • AP

If I never see Jordan Baker ump a game again, it will still be too soon.
