BN Podcast Episode 30: Faking the Draft, Trouble on Twitter, and the Nature of Trade Value

bnpodcastimagesmallIt’s the 30th episode of a super awesome podcast featuring me and Sahadev Sharma. You can listen to the podcast there below, or download it for later listening. You can also subscribe via iTunes. Here’s your iTunes link, and you can also find it by searching in the iTunes store. For those of you who use other feed-catching services, here’s the podcast feed. For those of you just tuning in who want to catch up on prior episodes, here’s the whole lot.

As always, you can send questions, comments, etc. to the official podcast email address (podcast AT bleachernation DOT com) if you want your thoughts included on a future show. This week’s set got us into the nature of trade value, the possibility of competitiveness in 2014, and Starlin Castro’s continued troubles.

We talk about the Draft, including the realities of covering the Draft – and what do and don’t know. We talk about Javier Baez’s explosion of awesome. We talk about Ian Stewart’s explosion of Twitter not awesome. We talk about the lack of an explosion in Cubs attendance and TV ratings.

We also talk about Indian food preferences, Game of Thrones, and the importance of advertising.

And, since we missed last week, this episode is super extra mega-sized. If you find that annoying, just split it in half, and pretend it’s two episodes. In which case, why are you so late listening to last week’s episode?

What do you mean by “faking” the draft?

  2. Abe Froman

Thanks for answering my question it made my day! My name is Derik which is in my email as Sahadev observed, but I use Abe Froman on the message board here. And while we are on the topic of things no one gives a shit about, it is from Ferris Bueller, as the name Ferris gives at the fancy restaurant “You’re Abe Froman, the sausage king of Chicago?” There’s a dual connection, Chicago of course, and the fact that I am apparently a double for Ferris`s friend Cameron, or so a thousand people have told me. Throwing on a Red Wing jersey is an easy Halloween costume.
