Enhanced Box Score: Reds 5, Cubs 6 – June 13, 2013

Sometimes you finish a marathon, and sometimes you WIN a marathon. Bam.

Jeff Samardzija was not at his sharpest today – 14 base runners in 6 innings – but the Cubs’ offense came back late to tie things up, and then they outlasted the Reds in 14 innings, with Julio Borbon providing the walk-off heroics. It didn’t give the Cubs the series, but at least it prevented the sweep. Moral victories!

I’m really glad that Castro got some hits, but he needs to have his ass chewed for his lazy fielding.

It’s an amazing paragraph in favor of all the internet people; they will
obtain advantage from it I am sure.
