busch stadiumAll right, Edwin Jackson. You’ve had two good starts in a row, and if you get a third in St. Louis, I think folks might start changing their tune about you (even if it’s just a matter of the results catching up to your peripherals).

Still no day off for old Castro huh?

    • dumbledoresacubsfan

I kinda wish they’d give Castro the day off, move Barney over to SS, and let Ransom play 2B.

  • Kenster

And still batting him 2nd again………… and again..

  • willis

Let’s hope EJax can keep it up. Could see some fireworks tonight after last night’s Cardinal bullshit. Kinda pumped for this one.

  • cubmig

Pre-game words I’d like to hear from Sveum to his guys: “Don’t take any shit from these guys tonight.”

  • Jason

Who is Jackson going to bean tonight to retaliate for that BS slide last night?

    • dumbledoresacubsfan

Hopefully no one. We can’t afford allowing the Cardinals baserunners. hahaha

    • Timothy Scarbrough

If anyone, I hope it is Molina. That guy just gets under my skin.

  • willis

Nice K there to finish that inning. Keep ’em in there dude.

  • willis

Molina looked ready to go there, chasing Rizzo down the line a bit. What a prick.

Castro needs to play everyday it is in his “DNA”

  • willis

May as well just start a brawl now.

Dumb pitch. Same pitch as one before that was yanked. He squared it up again. Dammit it all. Hate that guy.

    • gocatsgo2003

Dumb pitch? It was pretty much at his ankles and off the plate inside. Hell of a piece of hitting.

      • willis

Yeah, not that it was a bad pitch. Not at all but it was in the same location as the pitch before which Molina put the screws on and yanked foul. Probably should have gone low and away instead of inside there. Only because he seemed to be sitting on it.

        • gocatsgo2003

The book on Molina is to pitch him inside, which he likely knows, but the fact remains that he seems to struggle getting around at times. However, he has been on a tear pretty much this whole year, so who knows?

          • Brian

Molina’s a bad ball hitter. Most of what he hits isn’t a strike if you watch. Makes him tough to pitch to.

          • willis

Right, but in that situation, against a hitter, like you said who has been on an absolute tear, you have to mix it up. He went low and in and dude crushed it foul. Then went right back to that. That’s where I think it was a bad pitch selection. It wasn’t a meatball or anything close, just have to do a better job mixing it up in that situation.

  • willis

Boy this good game went to hell quickly.

This from Paul Sullivan’s most recent piece:

“Marmol is growing accustomed to the abuse. He was spied upon by a well-read blog in the lobby of his building last month…”

    No talent clown.

    • DarthHater

I guess flat-out lying in a newspaper is a lot less offensive than repeating a Twitter rumor.

      Dude’s a complete anal pore.

I would be more bothered by that blatant – and intentional – inaccuracy if I thought anyone was going to see it.

What do you pay a spy? Can I get a case of Half Acre?
