Pre-Gamin’: Cubs v. Mariners (6:15 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, etc.

safeco fieldThe Cubs and Mariners play again tonight at a much less ungodly hour. The lateness of yesterday’s game spared me the heartache of the late loss, though, so it wasn’t all bad.

Jeff Samardzija versus Aaron Harang tonight. I’ll … take Samardzija.

It’s a throw-back night, so the Cubs are going to be wearing jerseys from 1909, or Year One, as jerks like to call it.

Game Info

Chicago Cubs (33-45) at Seattle Mariners (35-45), 6:15 CT on FOX.

Who said bad bullpens don’t lose games?

    1. BT

Of course they do. The problem is, fans usually blame it on the manager, because somehow he used the bad bullpen pitchers in the wrong order.

  2. Jason P

Can’t save them all, though Gregg’s looked much more hittable recently. Better trade him soon.

  3. Dustin S

Right guy in this time, so not bullpen mismanagement. Offense should have had more off of Harang, if pointing blame.

Nice start by Jokisch for the Smokies tonight.

  4. DaveY

Eric Karros is an idiot who has no idea what he is talking about.

    Sori….DH…..Trade anyone?

  6. Rich H

Soriano is going to make someone one heck of a DH. He is starting to heat up at the right time.

  7. Dustin S

Soriano’s HR wasn’t out by that much for him to stand and watch it. Would have been interesting if it was high off the wall.

cub fans have to be the most negative bunch ever (though it is understandable). find a way to criticize someone for HOW they hit a game winning, extra-inning homerun? check.

      c’mon fellas, enjoy the win

I was excited for the home run. But standing and watching a home run that barely cleared the wall by 10 feet was something I was surprised no one else pointed out. Stand and watch a 450 footer to left center fine, not a 420 footer over a 410 foot CF wall. Anyone else on the team probably would have been pulled for doing it. Pointing out that he should have run the ball out until it cleared isn’t being negative.
