We’re all going nuts about baseball this week anyway, so now you can add a little additional fun to the mix.

Thanks to Draftstreet, we get to do another free, one-day fantasy baseball contest this week, based on Friday’s games. By performing the simple task of signing up, you (1) give yourself a chance to win part of the $300 prize pool on Friday, (2) guarantee that you’ll have some fun on Friday, and (3) support your friendly neighborhood hang-out, Bleacher Nation. These promotions help keep BN free for you to read and use, so your participation is appreciated.

Flashing Lights: Sign Up Here.

This week, we’re doing a “Pick ‘Em” style league, rather than a salary cap league. The way Pick ‘Em leagues work is you have 8 tiers of players and each tier will have players to choose from. All you have to do is select 1 player from each tier. There’s absolutely nothing to lose and it takes 5 minutes to build a team. You can adjust your roster up until the contest starts on Friday, August 2nd at 7:05 ET, at which time your rosters will lock and the Live Scoreboard will be available.

As always, the best part of the contest is the free chance to win some cash. There’s $300 to be won, and 15 of you will win some money. The top score gets $100 and second place gets $60, so there’s a lot of money to be made at the top of this one.

So, to recap: sign up for the contest now. Build your roster. Tweak your roster throughout the week as you see fit. Have some fun on Friday when the games are played. Win some money. For free. You’re welcome.

*Note: residents of some States are not eligible to play, so if you’re blocked out for that reason, my most humble apologies.

I won first place for the last contest for draftstreet and I decided to get my money in a check. It’s been two weeks and I still haven’t gotten my check in the mail. I’ve emailed draftstreet twice and they haven’t emailed me back at all. Can anyone help me out???

Posting individual stuff on the chat board is not a good idea. Try communicating with Brett directly via the contact link at the top of the page or email him at brett AT bleachernation DOT com.

I can’t speak for DraftStreet, but I’m not aware of that being an issue – it might just take a little while sometimes. Darth is right, though – contact me directly and I’ll see if I can help. (brett AT bleachernation DOT com)

Wow, you never told us you were a Nigerian prince!

Yes, now just email me your SSN, mothers maiden name and this power of attorney and I can get all of your money.
