I’ll be doing recaps on the process throughout the day, but you’ll also see normal posting (Bullets, Series Preview, Pre-Gamin’, EBS), as well as an uptick in rumor/trade posts.

Sorry for the slightly late update. Sahadev and I are recording a special Blogathon edition of the BN Podcast. I am actually typing up this post while we record (and following the Cubs game … and following rumors). Multitasking, for the win.

Total Posts So Far:

News and Rumors Since the Last Recap:

Those Biogenesis suspensions could impact just about everything, and there’s a whole lot of little Lukewarm Stove bits for digesting.

Most Interesting Tidbit Since the Last Recap:

It’s still probably the Jake Peavy situation, with the White Sox trying to convince teams they’re willing to keep him, the Diamondbacks reportedly being out on him, and now being frontrunners for him.

Current Thoughts About the Chicago Cubs’ Trade Deadline Strategy/Execution:

I am typing and speaking at the same time, so I have no extra thoughts available about anything.

Current Beverage/Stimulant of Choice:

Still sipping my gargantuan – and gross – Diet Coke from Wendy’s.

Strangest Thought Passing Through My Mind:

I wonder if people can hear my tap-tap-tapping away on the podcast. Tough noogies, if so.
