That was the kind of loss I would have expected from the 2012 Cubs, not the 2013 Cubs. Don’t get me wrong, the 2013 Cubs aren’t a particularly good team either, but they haven’t yet perfected the art of losing in unbelievable and inexplicable fashion quite like that 2012 squad. They’ve had some jaw-droppers, but, generally, when the 2013 Cubs lose, they lose close, and because they didn’t get any hits with runners in scoring position.

Losing after scoring six in the first and knocking the starting pitcher out before the end of that inning? I didn’t see that coming.
