bnpodcastimagesmallThe 39th episode of the BN Podcast is here, and Sahadev and I talk about the ups and downs of September baseball, particularly when your team isn’t any good.

We also get into the Daniel Bard acquisition, up-and-coming writers, and the Cubes phenomenon. We also take on a rapid-fire set of questions that becomes not-so-rapid-fire because I can’t help myself.

You can listen to the podcast there below, or download it for later listening. You can also subscribe via iTunes. Here’s your iTunes link, and you can also find it by searching in the iTunes store. Only 1:23? Is there no banter?

  • Stinky Pete

I know. Kids must be healthy…

Ha. There is an explanation – though it’s sad that “short” for us is still well over an hour.

  • Stinky Pete

Sounds like a little Strat-o-matic is needed to resolve debate….

That’s the first thing that came to mind for me. Are you a player? I’ve got the cards … we could settle this once and for all online!

What were you talking about Cube’s during the podcast? Where did you buy the T-Shirt?

I have to disagree with Sahadev’s on his point to expand rosters in April instead of September. Its never going to happen because teams don’t to start young guys arbitration clocks that early in the season. I’d rather see how players do during the course of the minor league season and evaluate them down there instead of bringing them up to the bigs early and they end up not doing well and just sending them back down. I love seeing the september call ups (at least while the team is bad and its nice to see how young guys do when they get called up for a cup of tea)
