Quantcast

bnpodcastimagesmallThe 43rd episode of the BN Podcast is here, and Sahadev and I dig into some hilariously bad (and a couple good) pre-season predictions. The Angels and Nats, baby. That’s where it was at.

We also get into the managerial search and the nature of celebrations in baseball (unwritten rules, act like you’ve been there, all that crap). We talk a little about the 2003 NLCS because we had to.

You can listen to the podcast there below, or download it for later listening. You can also subscribe via iTunes. Here’s your iTunes link, and you can also find it by searching in the iTunes store. For those of you who use other feed-catching services, here’s the podcast feed. For those of you just tuning in who want to catch up on prior episodes, here’s the whole lot.

Enjoy:

Thanks guys for all this information and quality discussion about the cubs, if it wasn’t for you i wouldn’t be able to follow the Cubs, although i have MLB TV, but your analysis are what keeps me informed about what’s going on in the ball club.

Big up from a Portuguese fan.

      Well thanks, Marcelo.

    Hey Brett,

I’m wondering if there’s any chance you could make these podcasts available as MP3s. I do all my podcast listening from work, and whenever I click “play” on yours, it opens up another page that it blocked at work. When podcasts are offered as mp3s, I never seem to have that issue. Here’s and example if you’re interested: http://www.punknews.org/article/53081/podcast-fest-12-edition-with-tony-weinbender

    Just a thought.

    • DarthHater

Hmmmm. Perhaps the page block suggests that your employer doesn’t want you to listen to podcasts at work. … Naaah! :-P

      • Funn Dave

Haha, well I figure listening to a podcast while I work is a helluva lot better than scrolling through BN forums.

I’m a bit confused on the question – the play button is supposed to just play the file right there on the same page (it does for me). And, in any event, the podcast file is an mp3.

What browser are you using? I wonder if there’s a compatibility issue on the podcast software end.

      • On The Farm

Maybe with Internet Explorer? When I use Fire Fox at work it plays right on the page. But when I check on Internet Explorer it opens up Window Media player in a pop up.

      • Funn Dave

I’m using IE, so maybe it’ll work once they start letting us use Firefox in the near future. Either way, I appreciate your interest in the matter.

  • Chris Hart

My dad and I always blame my mom for Game 6 because literally like a minute before that play she said she felt bad for the Marlins.

Great podcast, always fun when your email gets read and discussed. One thing about the ’05 that didn’t get mentioned that I still think is fun: If Jacoby Ellsbury signs with the Cubs this offseason (a long shot, but just go with me) he would be the 5th player from the first round to be apart of the Cubs (joining Pawelek, Volstad, Garza, and Bogusevic).

    Good stuff as always Brett.
